My most important goal is to introduce how Italian- Canadians have been searching their identities. This quest for identity appears both in Micone’s plays and D’Alfonso’s fiction. I have to follow certain steps to see through Italian- Canadian literature and culture, and to understand their difficulties in Canadian culture and society. Micone and D’Alfonso show us the complexity of Italian- Canadian life.
