Coronal leakage is a critical factor influencing the long-term success of endodontic treatments. Temporary restoration materials play an essential role in sealing the access cavity and preventing bacterial contamination during and after root canal therapy. My thesis examines the sealing ability, durability, and limitations of various temporary materials commonly used in clinical practice. Through a review of current research and laboratory studies, it highlights how material properties like adaptability, water absorption, and setting time affect their effectiveness. The findings emphasize that no material offers a perfect seal, making material selection and proper placement techniques crucial. Ultimately, the thesis underscores the importance of minimizing coronal leakage to enhance endodontic treatment outcomes and preserve tooth integrity.
