Endodontics is an essential therapeutic intervention required to treat affected teeth and ensure their continued viability and stability in the oral cavity. However, despite the continued advancements we have made in the field of endodontic therapy, sometimes unexpected and unnecessary complications could arise, which in turn could affect its prognosis. One such complication is a root perforation. A severe complication of a root perforation is the potential for secondary periodontal inflammation and loss of bone attachment, which can ultimately lead to tooth loss. Proper repair of a perforation requires adequate sealing of the passage. The materials used for this purpose will be effective if it provides excellent sealing, is biocompatible and easy to compound, and is able to promote osteogenesis and cementogenesis.hu_HU
