Absztrakt

Children's pharmacological treatment for epilepsy is crucial for reducing seizures and improving quality of life. Effective management involves customising antiepileptic drug (AED) regimens based on individual health profiles, seizure types, and underlying causes. Treatment adherence is a significant challenge, influenced by regimen complexity, side effects, and socioeconomic factors. Enhancing adherence includes behavioural interventions, support networks, education, and technology. Healthcare professionals are vital in providing support, addressing concerns, and adjusting treatment plans. A comprehensive approach, incorporating psychological and social support, can improve seizure control and overall well-being.
