Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan has enormous potential in horticulture particularly it contributes around 50% of the total Pakistan's apricot production. Unfortunately the potential has not been realized due to abundant losses across value chain. The study attempted to find major causes of these losses/wastage. The result of the study depict that apricot post-harvest losses are positively associated with traditional post-harvest methods/ practices. The study recommended to impart training and provide necessary materials, tools and equipment to farmers to help them in dealing with apricots across value chain in order to reduce losses and improve value chain.hu_HU
