Doktori disszertációm témája a magyar számviteli törvény és a Nemzetközi Pénzügyi Beszámolási Standardok alapján készült konszolidált beszámolók, illetve a két beszámolási rendszer konszolidációs szinten történő alkalmazásának hatása a vállalatcsoportok finanszírozására. A kutatásomba minden olyan vállalatcsoportot sikerült bevonni, ahol a magyarországi anyavállalat összevont (konszolidált) éves beszámolót készít (kivéve a pénzügyi beszámolót készítőket). Érdemesnek tartom a későbbiekben több évre is elvégezni a vizsgálatokat, valamint nemcsak a konszolidációs, hanem az egyedi szinten választott számviteli rendszernek a vállalatok hitelezői megítélésére gyakorolt hatását is vizsgálni. The subject of my doctoral dissertation is the analysis of consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with the Hungarian Accounting Act and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as the impact of these two reporting systems, when applied at the consolidation level, on corporate group financing. In the literature review, I presented the significance and legal background of consolidated financial statements. I examined the effects of IFRS adoption and the regulatory requirements governing the use of IFRS in the Visegrád countries. I provided a detailed overview of the consolidation methodology under both the Hungarian Accounting Act and IFRS, highlighting the similarities and differences between the two regulatory frameworks in relation to consolidation. Within the framework of the literature review, and in light of the research objectives and formulated hypotheses, I also discussed corporate financing opportunities and the importance of developing an appropriate corporate capital structure. Following the presentation of the database underlying my research and the applied statistical methods, I described the results of the calculations and analyses carried out to achieve the research objectives and test the hypotheses. My research encompassed all corporate groups in which the Hungarian parent company prepares consolidated annual financial statements, excluding entities engaged in financial reporting activities. I consider it worthwhile for future research to extend these analyses over a longer time horizon and to examine not only the effects of the accounting framework applied at the consolidation level but also the impact of the accounting system chosen at the individual entity level on lenders’ assessment of companies.
