Influence of Comprehensive School Health Program(C.S.H.P) on Education Performance in Basic Education Schools in Kenya

Abstract

Systematic review of studies done in Kenyan schools for school age children(5-18 years old) examining the 8 components of comprehensive school health program-C.S.H.P(values and life skills; gender; child rights, protection and responsibilities; nutrition; WASH; disease prevention and control; special needs, disability and rehabilitation; school infrastructure and environmental safety)and their influence on the education performance indicators(learners’ enrollment to school; Pupils retention in school; Academic performance; Participation in various co-curricular school activities)
