In my thesis, I would like to prove that the Italian immigrants could be merged into American society because they learned the English language, both the formal and the informal varieties of American English. Without it there is no possibility to become an American person. I would also like to investigate some other factors that are necessary for someone who really wants to become a real part of another nation, such as culture, education and everyday habits, e.g. shopping, eating or keeping in touch with other people.
