This thesis includes the main characteristics of preterm labor: risk factors, epidemiology, pathophysiology, etiology, clinical presentation, risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment. I conclude the main pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments of preterm labor and focus on tocolytics agents.
