My thesis provides a detailed examination of some of the major turning points of feminism in the United States. The first part of my thesis follows the events of the suffrage movement and the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment. I also analyze in detail the debate around the Equal Rights Amendment. In the second part I discuss the question of reproductive rights and the work of Margaret Sanger. Moreover, I deliberate about Roe v. Wade and its recent overturn. The final part delves into the issue of sexual violence in the 21st century and the #metoo movement.
