dc.description.abstractThis Thesis investigates production issues in the pharmaceutical industry, using Searle Pharmaceuticals Pakistan as a case study. Challenges such as high defect rates, extended cycle times, equipment downtime, and supply chain disruptions impact product quality and revenue. The research explores efficiency improvements through IoT, predictive analytics, lean manufacturing, and maintenance strategies, while ensuring compliance with GMP standards. It emphasizes stock control, optimal environmental conditions, and employee training using AR and VR to enhance performance. Recommendations focus on adopting innovations and best practices to boost operational reliability, competitiveness, and quality assurance. These insights aim to benefit not only Searle but also other pharmaceutical manufacturers.
