dc.description.abstractIn my thesis, I searched for parallels between the Bible and C. S. Lewis's novel, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I have found several symbols in the book which are probably based on the Bible. These symbols include characters, events and phenomena. Several sources were used in my thesis in order to underpin my arguments and to examine the topic comprehensively. In conclusion, it can be said that The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is not just an exciting and adventurous tale, but a deeper story, woven with Christian symbolism, which makes its reader think through its hidden biblical references.
