In my thesis, I am going to explore the functions of the mirror metaphor in The Enchantress of Florence. I will focus on the different connection made by the mirror image; most notably how it is interwoven with the female characters and how the heroines mirror each other. Further observing the general impact of the mirror image on the core of the novel. I believe that The Enchantress of Florence portrayals quite exceptional female roles, even though critics have claimed the opposite. I am going to cover these fields so that my argument would stand on a solid ground.
