Contribution to Afro-American Society of Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois

Abstract

Two prominent black leaders in the post Reconstruction Era, Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois have acted as devoted advocates and speakers of the blacks’ cause. They not only improved the black’s chance for education, they always spoke up to defend their rights when the whites were trying to manipulate the black’s rights with new laws.
