Pride and Prejudice is one of the most beautiful classic novels in British literature. It is a timeless love story of two people who have to overcome their ’first impression’ to win each other’s heart. They have to realize that neither their opposite characters nor the social boundaries can prevent their happy union. While their tender feelings for each other blossom out, the writer paints an ironic and humourous, but still realistic picture of her society. The novel deals with a lot of fascinating themes, which are actual even these days. They are marriage, love, money, pride, prejudice, good breeding and social rank. From these interesting issues I have chosen love and marriage, examining the main characters point of view. (Introduction)hu_HU
