Henoch–Schönlein purpura (HSP) is a small-vessel, immune complex-mediated, leukocytoclastic vasculitis. It is known to be the most common form of systemic vasculitis in childhood. Nephritis (HSPN) is the major cause of prolonged and complicated disease progression, often requiring special attention and treatment. Clinical manifestations and renal biopsies are the cornerstones in diagnosing HSPN patients. The current therapy consists of various modalities including corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive agents, plasmapheresis, anticoagulants, and ACE inhibitors. In this thesis, case reports of two HSPN patients from University of Debrecen are also shown.hu_HU
