The aim of this thesis is to see through the available literature on haemophlia and to elaborate on all the important aspects of the disorder and to give more details on the treatment of haemophilia A with focus on on- demand treatment and prophylactic treatment, pharmacokinetics and complications of treatment. As well as possibilities for long acting agents. Patients from the department of Haematology were evaluated and their treatment was analysed and included in the thesis.
