Community Service Orders have been a much-researched topic lately. Legal scholars in Europe have mostly researched this type of alternative sanction in their own jurisdictions. With this thesis I have attempted to research and scrutinize the use of the CSO in various European countries, my criterion for grouping being that of countries where a sizeable portion of the population speaks Neo-Latin languages.
