This thesis provides an overview of many medications that help IBD patients. Although we do not understand the true causes of IBD, the aim is to control and reduce the effects of the disease on patient's life. Understanding the nature and efficacy of different drugs can improve the better treatment. Although IBD progression is not easily predicted and the symptoms fluctuate over time. Depending on the situation and clinical guideline, doctors have to select the true option for the therapy.
