| dc.description.abstract | Zika virus has emerged rapidly during 2015-2016, along with a rapid increase in the incidence of congenital microcephaly. An association between the virus and microcephaly was established and a Public Health Emergency of International Concern was declared by the WHO in February 1 2016. The thesis reviews the possible mechanisms by which infection with the virus leads to congenital abnormalities in affected fetuses. | hu_HU |
