In my Thesis, I tried to shed light on the stereotypical portrayal of animals in modern contemporary animated cartoon movies. I examined three movies and the following movies are: Zootopia, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. Despite the stereotypical portrayal of different kinds of animals, gender issues also present in the three movies. The reason why I decided to write about this topic is that we have a general understanding of specific groups, ethnic races and other various factors and I wanted to break down or at least attempt to think differently and never judge somebody by appearance.
