dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, operative treatment of severe skull injuries is discussed. Before delving into the treatment, the epidemiology, etiology, pathology and non-operative treatments are discussed. Then, the operative treatments, which are craniotomy and craniectomy, are presensted in detail including a brief description of each treatment, the indications and complications that are associated with them. The final part shows the data that was taken from patients that suffered a skull injury in the year 2018 and admitted to Kenezy Hospital. This data was divided according to specific factors, such as alcohol intake age specific comorbidities..., and the results were compared. Finally, this data was compared to results from an international work that was published.hu_HU
