dc.description.abstractThe traditional American values of individualism and volunteerism are not only present in today's society, but they have a crucial role in social movements and global initiatives. Such initiatives also have an important role in intercultural cooperation and communication, which are crucial in our globalized world. In this thesis, the TED organization, which provides a chance for outstanding individuals to present their pioneer work in various fields, is studied as an example of the above-mentioned values.hu_HU
