The thesis discusses the Myth of the Final Frontier by analyzing the film genres of science-fiction western and space western. The investigation of said topics occurs through the analysis of three movies from completely different eras: Westworld from 1973, Wild Wild West from 1999, and Cowboys & Aliens from 2011.
