This thesis evaluates the potential of polymer-based materials to replace traditional metal alloys in dentistry, with a particular focus on removable partial dentures (RPDs). Conventionally, cobalt–chromium, nickel–chromium, and titanium alloys have been widely used because of their high mechanical strength and durability in the oral environment. However, these materials present several disadvantages, which can be avoided by using dental polymers.
