dc.description.abstractThis project work is development of a Web Application as it applies to Socio-Cultural values promoted through the ease of access to the internet and world wide reach. The purpose of developing this application is to showcase and promote the cultural and traditional heritage of clothing fashion of the Yoruba People in South-West Nigeria to the Information Technology (I.T) complaint generation. In this computer age, a website is an invaluable asset to corporate organizations, communication media and individuals that want to provide, publicize or share information and entertainment on real time basis about their mission, goods and services or entertainment with a global reach. The Thesis “Application of Web Development in the promotion of Clothing in Fashion of the Yoruba People in South-West Nigeria” involves web development of a website which is a web based internet application. This web application created by me is a non-profit website which has the advantage of a global coverage of promoting the rich Yoruba Cultural Heritage as expressed in the clothing of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. My thesis contains the basic structure of web development and implementation using XAMPP and also allows people to comment and make suggestions about the styles and attires as well as possible latest fashion trends that can be designed or created.hu_HU
