It covers the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and treatment choices based on the severity and affected areas. First-line treatments include aluminum salts and topical anticholinergics, while botulinum toxin A injections are considered second-line. Oral systemic therapies are recommended for more severe and widespread cases. The thesis also reviews emerging treatments like botulinum toxin creams and FDA-approved sofpironium bromide, offering a step-by-step guide for individualized medical management.
