This study examines copyright protection for artists on digital music platforms. Major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music use pro-rata payment systems that disadvantage music rights holders economically. The legal research analyzes these systems' legal validity under international copyright law. Alternative payment models are evaluated through the Berne Convention and WIPO Treaty frameworks. The study proposes legal solutions for fairer revenue distribution on digital platforms.
