This thesis examines the application of project management methods in emerging markets, using Nigeria as a case study. It explores the key challenges and opportunities that influence project implementation and development outcomes in such contexts. The research combines theoretical analysis with practical examples to show how global methodologies can be adapted to local realities. Tools such as SWOT analysis and problem and objective trees are used to evaluate strategies for improving project success. The findings highlight the need for stronger governance, capacity building, and contextual adaptation in project management practices. Overall, the study contributes to a better understanding of how effective project management can support sustainable development in emerging economies.
