This thesis reviews intraorifice sealing in endodontics as a key strategy to prevent coronal microleakage and reinfection after root canal treatment by placing barriers over gutta-percha in canal orifices after removing a portion of it. It covers material properties and performance of GIC/RMGIC, MTA, Biodentine, flowable composites, and Cention Forte. Comparisons via meta-analyses and studies show calcium silicate cements (MTA/Biodentine) excel in sealing (dye/bacterial tests) and biocompatibility, while short-fiber composites boost fracture resistance. Optimal 3-mm depth minimizes leakage without excess gutta-percha removal.
