Oncological diseases are a considerable burden on humanity. Us, dental professionals, are assuredly going to encounter patients who have or have had a neoplasm. We must collaborate with every health professional who is taking care of such patients in order to enhance the latter’s survival probability as well as to improve their quality of life. Before oncological treatment is carried out, it is recommended that patients visit a dentist, and if needed dental specialists too. In the course of the antineoplastic treatment, oral health maintenance is the main goal. Following cancer cure, systematic monitoring of patients should be done in order to avoid late oral infections, new malignancy development or tumour relapse from occurring.hu_HU
