In this work I intend to present the diplomatic struggle that eventually led to the outbreak of the Crimean War, hopefully adding some certainty to the settlement of the problematic questions by the revision or contrast of the already existing scholarly works dealing with the same topic. This work also intends to revise how and why Britain was drawn into the war, and show that the war was far from being useless.hu_HU
