Absztrakt

The aim of my study is to give a possible explanation to this success. My argument is that the movement was successful as a result of a series of coincidental changes and phenomena that occurred around the middle of the century. Therefore timing was a key factor in the making of the movement’s success. By the 1950s such favorable changes took place in the American society and within the Afro-American community which created a fertile soil for sweeping social changes. In this study I am going to present these factors one by one and give an explanation on how and why these changes could have an impact on the struggle of Blacks.
