The lifestyle of the monarchs was always different from that of the ordinary people. Instead of small houses they built and lived in enormous palaces, they liked splendid decorations and they were able to shape and dictate the fashion of the era as far as clothes were concerned. Their food and their form of entertainment were also different from those who did not live in the palace. At that time the King or the Queen was at the top of the social ladder and this was well seen through their lifestyle. People were determined by wealth and rank and the era is a clear reflection of the social division that existed in that epoch. The aim of this thesis is to explore all the above-mentioned aspects of the Tudor dynasty regarding their brief history, the fashion of the two most notable monarchs of the period. I would like to analyze the Tudor architectural design with a description of Hampton Court Palace and to demonstrate the Tudor royal lifestyle through the form of entertainment and culinary customs.
