The aim of this paper is to give an overview of the problems of recycling plastic in the united states. The paper attempts to show the role of American residents and companies in the accumulation of plastic waste and it also introduces the effects China’s National Sword Policy has on the American waste management systems. The essay begins by discussing the willingness of American residents to participate in plastic waste recycling. It will then go on to examine the recycling habits of American residents and the common mistakes they make. The thesis will also give insight into the import restrictions China introduced in its National Sword Policy and its impact on the United States. The last chapter discusses the role of American companies in resolving environmental problems and the actions they take on plastic pollution.hu_HU
