In this medical thesis, written by a medical student, an overview of the bacteriology for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and its role as a pathogen can be found. The basic concept and treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have been reviewed. The effect of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection on acute exacerbations and prognosis will be discussed along with treatment options.
