This thesis explores the use of segmented control surfaces in modern aircraft for improved aerodynamic performance, redundancy, and adaptability. Using computational and experimental approaches, it demonstrates higher efficiency and structural benefits, particularly for UAV flights and high-performance aircraft. The research addresses challenges in actuation, integration, and certification, focusing on advanced materials and modular design for scalability. Future applications include military, UAV, and commercial aviation, offering advantages like noise reduction, acoustic performance, passenger comfort, and environmental sustainability.
