In my thesis, I shall explore the nature of logic of transgressions in Trainspotting. The novel and also its film adaptation by Danny Boyle work with transgressive strategies. Transgression as a theme just like transgressive fiction as a mode of literature and culture gained incredible popularity in the last few decades. Welsh’s Trainspotting is full of young working-class junkies with a rebellious attitude, protesting against social oppression by transgressing as many rules as they can.hu_HU
