Both characters’ movies can be interpreted as feminist empowement, but their approach to the theory varies. In my thesis I will investigate the differences between the two movies’ depiction of feminism and female empowerment. Through my analysis of the cinematic endeavours, I am going to shed light on the fact that Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel is a representation of Second Wave Feminism, while Princess Diana in Wonder Woman is the embodiment of Third Wave Feminism in the United States, with the analysis of the heroines’ appearances, inner characteristics and the nature of their relationships.hu_HU
