In my paper I am examining the factors that determined the pace and the strategy of the Hungarian privatization. I will reveal the reasons why the Hungarian government chose the traditional market sale as a method, and the foreign strategic investors as a target audience for the redistribution of the public wealth. In order to a better understanding I will provide an international outlook about the Visegrad countries' (Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) privatization strategies and experiences. My final purpose with this paper is to draw the conclusion about the success of the Hungarian privatization on an regional level.hu_HU
