This paper has been made to check if entrepreneurship plays a role in the process of economic development. Throughout the literature part, entrepreneurship was defined and some of its determinants were mentioned, as well as a glance at the history of entrepreneurship. Then the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic development was mentioned. We conducted our research by measuring GDP per capita annual growth rate as a dependent variable that represents economic growth, while entrepreneurship was measured by the number of new businesses registered in a fiscal year. A sample of 17 countries divided into two groups was chosen, and the outcomes of the tests showed significant findings in both groups. In sum, we can conclude that the influence of entrepreneurial activities is different across countries, as various factors such as education, culture, resources, and macroeconomics policies can affect the role entrepreneurship plays in economic development.hu_HU
