dc.description.abstract | DbCM can develop in patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus as an independent pathology of other risk factors like hypertension and coronary artery disease therefore an early diagnosis and blood glucose level control can preserve the cardiac function and improves diabetic patient´s quality of life. The left ventricular hypertrophy and diastolic dysfunction occur already after a short period of diabetes mellitus and lead to heart failure and death. Echocardiography is the gold standard in DbCM and can be combined with ECG and various cardiac markers for accurate diagnosis. | hu_HU |
