The analysis of the Uncle Tom stereotype in Richard Wright's "The Ethics of Living Jim Crow" and "Big Boy Leaves Home". Uncle Tom is the servile and submissive slave. The white community forced blacks into this Uncle Tom figure. This behaviour was preferred by whites. It was the best survival tactics to survive the 20th century white dominant America.
