The present thesis aims to present the efforts of the EU and of the international community on non-proliferation, disarmament and arms control. The thesis gives a close look at the European Union's role in the fight against the proliferation of the weapons of mass destruction. It also provides several case-studies, which underline the procedure and means of negotiations on this field.
