In my paper, first I would like to examine the development of services as a fundamental EU freedom, then I would like to introduce the legislative framework of the topic. After that, I will turn to the focus of my paper, the gambling services. In that area, I would like to start with the appearance of the online gambling. With regard to gambling, Member States have developed and maintained different systems, and I would like to examine what are the advantages and disadvantages of each system, and how in line are they with the EU's guidelines. The part after the case law seeks to show the European Commission’s efforts to harmonise the national laws. Having a comprehensive picture of EU and international legislation, I would like to address the situation in Hungary in the end.hu_HU
