dc.description.abstractHospitals nowadays don`t just have the objective to cure sick patients, but at the same time they need to generate money and sometimes profits for shareholders. Since performing large amount of surgeries are a profitable way to cure diseases, the number of procedures have been increasing in industrialized and wealthy countries like Germany. Since often general anesthesia is required for a surgery, the two mainly used anesthetic agents Propofol and Sevoflurane together with their properties gain importance in everyday practice. I will give an overview of some well-known and some less known characteristics of these two agents.hu_HU
