In this essay I am trying to shed a light on a possible answer to these questions. What I am going to try to prove is that politics, economy, and cultural milieu are indeed able to form our taste and world-view at the same time. Of course, this can be caught red-handed by the most dominant and popular form of artistic expressions of any given society and age. In the following few pages I am going to deal with our approach to women in general based on the political and economical changes in every greater historical period from Prehistory to the 20th century. Although this attempt requires the thorough investigation of several hundred and even thousand years, only this vast spectrum is able to give the most extensive picture of how and why certain concepts are the way as they are today.hu_HU
