Absztrakt
The aim of this thesis work was to review the available literature about information asymmetry, by concentrating especially on its effects on hotel management and testing it practically. Thus, after the theoretical review of the subject, an empirical analysis was conducted to evaluate the practical applicability of the theoretical part.This analysis included online information evaluation of 50 hotel websites from around the world using 14 groups of characteristics. To maximize the effect of the analysis, the mentioned hotels were graded in 5 different star-categories, defined by the European HotelStars Union and grouped in 5 regions, defined by World Tourism Organisaiton.
