During our work, H9c2 cardiomyocytes were treated with different concentrations of BM112, with or without ISO, for 24 hours, and the effect on cell viability was examined using an MTT assay. In order to get a broader picture of the degree of hypertrophy and the influence of BM112, we determined the cell size with rhodamineconjugated phalloidin dye. The alteration in cell survival and hypertrophic protein expressions were analyzed by Western blot analysis. No cytotoxic effect of BM112 cells was observed on H9c2 at concentrations lower than 50 µM.
