dc.description.abstractEmigration wave has touched Hungary several times and definitely the first, biggest exodus was at the turn of the 20th century. My dissertation aims to explore the reasons and regions and economic impact of emigration and it also focuses on the settlements, circumstances of life, social organizations established by Hungarians in Canada and the United States at the turn of the 20th century.hu_HU
